State-approved Vocational School for Physiotherapy

The Vocational School for Physiotherapy in Cham offers a three-year vocational programme leading to graduating with a state-recognised examination as a physiotherapist. The trainees acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in almost all areas of medicine, like anatomy of the body, training and movement theory, physiotherapy treatment options and diagnosis. Our trainees in the physiotherapy school also have the opportunity to obtain a scientific degree thanks to our collaboration with the Deggendorf Institute of Technology and the Regensburg University of Applied Sciences.

The Vocational School for Nursing and Care in Bad Kötzting

The Vocational School for Nursing and Care in Bad Kötzting has been offering comprehensive training programmes for almost 30 years, emphasising a holistic understanding of nursing care based on the corresponding view of the human being. At this school, our trainees have the possibility to qualify as a nursing specialist (3 years) or nursing assistant (1 year) specialising in long-term care with the overall aim of becoming professionals who care for others with passion and expertise. Our trainees acquire not only expert knowledge in theoretical and technical areas, such as nursing processes and diagnostics, nursing actions, person- and situation-orientated communication and counselling, acute and long-term care facilities and paediatric care, but also expand their social and emotional skills while attending our school.

Pedagogic Centre: Vocational School for Childcare and Professional Academy for Social Pedagogy

The Vocational School for Childcare provides basic knowledge for pedagogical work in various socio-educational fields. The training programme usually lasts two years (full-time), while spending one day a week in a practical centre (e.g. a kindergarten, crèche) and learning the remaining four days in school. The task of a child carer is the upbringing, education and care of children, predominantly from infancy to early school age. The training programme ends with the final examination to become a state-certified child carer.

The training programme at the Professional Academy for Social Pedagogy usually takes 4 years. Educators perform educational, upbringing and care tasks for children, adolescents and young adults aged 0-27 years in the various fields of work independently and on their own responsibility. The successful completion of the training programme leads to recognition as a state-recognised educator.

The pedagogic centre also offers numerous further training activities to specialise in the profession.

The School for Wellness and Cosmetics in Bad Kötzting has been training specialists in the wellness and beauty sector for more than two decades. Whether it's a career entry for beginners, specialisation for already experienced beauticians or expanding expertise in the field: our school offers future-orientated knowledge and practice transfer in one of the most interesting and fastest-growing sectors of our time. For example, our trainees can train as wellness beauticians, wellness masseurs or vitality trainers, and choose from attending a wide range of courses, e.g. massages, hand and foot treatments, eyelash extensions, sugaring or specialised courses for self-employment in the field of wellness cosmetics.

The Tourism Academy of East Bavaria offers training and further education for hoteliers and employees in the hotel and catering industry - from housekeeping to kitchen, reception, marketing and management. Our trainees can take advantage of a wide range of face-to-face courses, webinars and in-house training programmes.
