The Volkshochschule im Landkreis Cham e.V. is one of the largest adult education centres in Bavaria, Germany. As a non-profit organisation, we offer a broad spectrum of educational opportunities tailored to people of all ages and backgrounds. Our aim is to enable lifelong learning and to facilitate access to knowledge and qualifications for all citizens - regardless of origin, religion or political conviction.

Our Course Programme covers a wide range of topics, including languages, health, culture and society, creativity and leisure as well as job and career. Vocation and Further Education holds particular importance for us: In cooperation with companies, the employment agency and other institutions, we support people in acquiring new qualifications and gaining better opportunities on the labour market. Another focus of our work is Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). We provide the skills needed to help people contribute to building a sustainable and future-oriented society.

We are active in over 30 locations in our region. In addition to traditional continuing education courses, we run state-approved vocational schools in the fields of childcare/pedagogy, physiotherapy and nursing. Also, we operate two academies in the fields of tourism/wellness and health. Additionally, we support people in integrating into society at a regional level and engage in International Cooperation through education projects across Europe and beyond.

Our educational programmes are open to everyone - from young people and professionals to senior citizens. We believe that education is the key to personal and social progress. In this context, the personal circumstances of those involved and the principles of diversity and sustainable action are taken into account.
